In 2017, Australian University Sport is pleased to partner with the Australian Institute of Sport to present the Australian University Sport and Elite Athlete Friendly University combined National Conference.

The AUS/EAFU conference will be held from Tuesday 16 to Thursday 18 May 2017 at Marriott Resort, Surfers Paradise, Queensland. The conference is the only event of its kind in Australia that unites sport management professionals for an intelligent and informed annual discussion of issues that drive the university sport sector.

Delegates will enjoy professional development and networking opportunities ideal for university sport leaders from CEOs to sport managers and officers, as well as marketing or high performance professionals. The event will also include the AUS annual general meeting and black tie Gala Dinner.

Annual General Meeting

This is notification to all members that the Australian University Sport (AUS) Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held:

  • 1:30pm Tuesday 16 May 2017
  • Marriott Resort | 158 Ferny Ave |Surfers Paradise QLD 4217

In accordance with the AUS constitutional requirements (refer to Clause 18.4 of the AUS Constitution, Meeting Requirements and Procedures) all document relating to the 25th AGM Agenda will be released here:

Please be aware of the following deadline(s):

  • Proposed alterations to the rules to be received by the CEO (50 days prior to AGM): Monday 27 March 2017
  • AGM & National Conference Registrations close: Friday 28 April 2016
  • Nominations for Elections and Advice of any Items of Business to be received by the CEO (30 days prior to AGM): Sunday 16 April 2017

AUS member subsidy:

AUS members are eligible for 2 x $350 subsidised registrations per university. The discount codes will be emailed to each university CEO and/or Sport Manager and can be applied at the payment page at the completion of the online registration process.  

EAFU subsidy:

Specific subsidies will be available for EAFU delegates. EAFU delegates will receive discount codes to be applied at the payment page at the completion of the online registraiton process. 

Accommodation:

Accommodation can be booked as a part of the registration process. AUS have secured a special rate with the Marriott Resort Surfers Paradise for Conference delegates. All accommodation is subject to availability. Accommodation options include:

  • Hinterland view guest room - room only $220 (one queen bed)
  • Hinterland view guest room including breakfast for one $245 (one queen bed)
  • Hinterland view guest room including breakfast for two $270 (twin share)

Dietary requirements:

Please advise of any dietary requirements as a part of your registration.

Flights:

Flights are not included in the conference fee and are to be booked by the individual/member.
