COMPETITION FORMAT

Final competition format for each event including number of rounds (e.g. heats, semi finals, final) will be determined following the close of entries.

Event qualification times, height or distances specified in the athletics program are outlined in the athletics sport rules.

Please note that all athletes must adhere to the qualification times and/or distances specified for their event in order to compete.

If in the competition, an athlete does not reach the minimum AUS qualification in the finals (as per rule), they will not score points for the university they represent.

Monday 27 September - training day with late evening program 4:00 - 7:00pm

Tuesday 28 September - 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Wednesday 29 September - 9:15 am - 5:00 pm

MEDAL CEREMONIES

Medal ceremonies will follow the final of each event in the athletics program.

TEAM DUTIES

The specific requirement for athletics at AUS events are:

1. Each university team with 10 or more participants will be required to assist officials at a designated field station/s over the duration of the championship.

2. It is envisaged that this will require no more than two people at any one time per team.

3. It is recommended that the sport specific team manager work out a rotating roster for their designated field station.

UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS

The uniform requirements for each specific sport should be as per the national sporting organisation standard with the following minimum uniform requirements.

Athletics: Shorts, singlet, one piece or two piece athletic attire. All competitors will wear all numbers allocated to them while competing. Field event competitors may wear track pants while competing.
