UNSW Student, Gabrielle King has taken out the NSW Institute of Sport (NSWIS) Academic Excellence Award for 2011. This is the third time in four years that a UNSW student has won the award with Johnno Cotterill (Water polo) B Commerce (Liberal Studies) winning it in 2008 and 2010.

Gabrielle is setting herself up for the ISAF World Championships in Perth from 3 to 18 December and hopes to qualify for the London Olympics.
