The Regional Development Officer position is a key position within AUS. The position will take responsibility for a key functional aspect(s) across the AUS event portfolio, the national development program, and domestic representative opportunities.
The 2011 Australian University Games Project Manager is responsible for the planning and delivery of the Games.
The Event Coordinator is responsible for the planning and delivery of the 2011 Northern University Games to be held in Armidale, northern NSW.
This is a contract role starting 10 January and finishing 29 July 2011.

The Sport & Operations Manager is responsible for coordinating all sport and operational aspects for the 2011 Australian University Games.
Key functional areas include: planning, risk management, workforce management, financials, sports program, venue management, competition structure, draw management, event operations, sports medicine and transport services.
The Workforce & Administration Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all workforce and administration aspects for the 2011 Australian University Games.
Key functional areas include: Games workforce management, planning, information technology, information system management, office management, Games administration and financial administration.
Key duties include:
- Leading, implementing and delivering projects of significant importance to the operations and strategic direction of University Sport New Zealand (USNZ).
- In conjunction with the Executive Director, formulating and designing policies, initiatives and strategies for the events and core business function of the organisation.
- Establishing strong working relationships with key partners and members. Utilising existing and gaining new networks, build on sponsorship agreements. As well as managing internship students and working to budget on all projects.
The National Event Coordinator is responsible for the planning and delivery of AUS championships including (but not limited to): Orienteering, Surfing, Triathlon, Distance Running, Snow Sports, Rowing and Twenty20 Cricket. The role also liaises with a number of representative events and assists in securing new national and regional championships.
The Media and Marketing Coordinator reports directly to the Business Development Manager (BDM).
This position is a key role in the AUS team and is responsible for the following functional areas of marketing and communications:
- Media and public relations
- Website development and maintenance
- Social media strategy development and monitoring
- Publication management
- Brand management

The TAFE Promotion Internships are a new position within AUS. The position will actively promote AUS events and on campus sporting programs being offered on TAFE campuses within their designated region. The position will also work directly with the relevant contacts on TAFE campuses to assist in building sustainable on campus sporting programs and actively promote AUS events and assistance in order to attract new TAFE Institutions to attend AUS events.

The Health Promotion Internship is a new position within AUS. The position will actively promote AUS
health initiatives on member campuses and affiliated TAFE institutions throughout AUS’ South region. The
position will also work directly with AUS partner organizations and external stakeholders
AUS and Zaidees Rainbow Foundation are teaming up in 2012 to hold a mass participation event in university and TAFE campuses to promote non-competitive physical activity through an awareness campaign called "Zaidee’s Physical Feat". This campaign aims to get students active and deliver educational lessons around the principles of "healthy bodies have healthy organs".
The volunteers will be required to work in work in the following areas:
Administration – merchandise sales, event registrations, survey distribution
Promotion – promote key health messages, advertising, social media, event role module
Operations - logistics (marshals, set up, clean up)
