Each year the Games are a unique opportunity to bring together Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander university students from around the country to participate and compete at a national level in mixed sports including basketball, netball, volleyball and touch football as well as an Indigenous cultural game. A single team of no more than 16 individuals comprising of 14 students and 2 staff contests all sports.  Perth, Western Australia   22nd - 27th     World University Championships - Sailing     Palma de Mallorca, Spain   28th Sep - 3rd Oct     Australian University Games     Melbourne VIC   29th Sep - 3rd Oct     Australian University Championship - Rowing     Sydney   October 2008    12th     Australian University Championship - Distance Running   To be held in conjunction with the Melbourne Marathon.  Melbourne VIC   November 2008    30th Nov - 3rd Dec     Australian University Championship - Twenty20 Cricket   The dates in November/December for this event are still to be confirmed.  TBC < home < full calendar
