Scott Kneller finishes seventh

University of New South Wales student and five time Australian University Championship Snow Sports gold medallist in 2009, Scott Kneller has achieved an impressive seventh place finish in the ski cross at the Vancouver Winter Olympics.

 

Qualifying 12th after the first round, Kneller then went on to finish second in his races in the round of 32 and the quarter finals to earn a spot in the four man semi final.

 

In the semi final, Kneller finished third and moved to the small final where he also finished third for an overall finish of seventh.

 

Swiss Michael Schmid took gold, Austria's Andreas Matt took silver, while Norwegian Audun Groenvold captured bronze.
