Crunch time in individual competition

It’s finals time in the individual competition, with some great squash played to date.

Highlights have included the five set match between Hong Kong’s Leo Au and Canada’s Colin West, with Au getting up after surrendering an early lead and having to play the match out the hard way.

On the other half of the men’s draw the USA’s Todd Harrity and Germany’s Jens Schoor impressed in their quarter finals to eliminate British hopefuls Peter Creed and Chris Hall, only to face each other in the semi final, which turned out to be a one sided affair with Creed winning 11-5, 11-4, 11-5.

The gold medal matches will be today with Annie Au (Hong Kong, China) taking on Emma Chorley (Great Britain) at 4:00 pm and number one seed Joel Hinds (Great Britain) will meet German Jens Schoor at 4:45 pm.
