From humble beginnings in the 1960's, sporting clubs at the University of Newcastle have forged a strong tradition of mateship and camaraderie. Well known for their social and inclusive nature, these 22 affiliated clubs provide a sporting and cultural home for over 1000 students each year.

Catering to the weekend warrior through to national representatives, University sporting clubs give you a unique opportunity to pursue your chosen sport and make the most of your time at Uni!

If your sport does not currently have a club, why not think about starting one?

You will also find that you can represent the University of Newcastle at the Eastern or Australian University Games, or at other Australian University Championships.
