Introduction to Adventure Racing
In 2006 Adventure Racing will be added to the AUS National
Program for the first time. Adventure Racing is an exciting
new sport that combines various “off-road” disciplines
including mountain biking, ocean kayaking, coastline running,
beach running and swimming. You can race as an individual,
as a pair (2 people complete the entire course together)
or in a relay team. From 2006, universities will be competing
for the title of Australian University Adventure Race Champions
at the Anaconda Adventure Race at Lorne, Victoria. If you’re
keen to have a go, check
out the rapid ascent website.
