2019 Summer Universiade

Gymnastics

The Event

The gymnastics competition at the 2019 Summer Universiade will take place at the Palavesuvio Hall in Napoli. Artistic gymnastics will take place on the 3-7 July with rhythmic disciplines on the 11-13 July. Gymnastics is a compulsory sport on the Summer Universiade schedule with artistic disciplines first included in Sofia 1961. Rhythmic was then included in Sheffield 1991. Two UniRoos from the Taipei 2017 team subsequently progressed to win a medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games - that being Chris Remkes and Enid Sung. Ten athletes have been selected to represent the UniRoos in artistic and rhythmic gymnastics, respectively, at Napoli 2019.
