2019 Summer Universiade

Water Polo

The Event

The water polo competition at the 2019 Summer Universiade will take place on the 2-14 July. Water polo has been part of the Summer Universiade program since the first games in Turin in 1959 with the exception of 1975 and 1989. During this time the UniRoos have collected 5 medals in water polo competition, including 2 golds in 2015 (women) and 2009 (men). In Napoli 2019 the Australian women's team have been drawn in Pool B against USA, Italy, China and Russia with the men's team in Pool B against Croatia, Italy, Hungary and Japan.
