The Competition

The 3x3 basketball competition will take place from 17-20 July 2025 in Bochum, Germany.

This is a debut appearance for 3x3 basketball at a World University Games. 

​

One hoop instead of two and six players instead of ten, in this version of basketball there are certainly no reductions in the drama. Streamlined rules encourage unrelenting, fast-paced play, and with all the thrills and spills of full court basketball without the breaks, it’s no wonder 3x3 is the fastest growing urban sport in the world.
