UniSport MyWay

UniSport MyWay
Funded by Sport Australia’s Participation Grant Program, the UniSport MyWay program aims to increase participation in grassroots physical activity and sport on university campuses across the country. The program will support member universities to deliver easily accessible programs on campus that help break down the barriers to developing active and healthy habits for life.
Member universities had the opportunity to apply for a grant of up to $9,000 to support the delivery of sport and activity programs on campus, with a view to encouraging students to return to campus and connect with the university.
The objectives of the program are to:
-
Breakdown the barriers to student participation in sport and activity on campus
-
Increase participation in sport and physical activity through the provision of inclusive and high-quality sport and physical activity experiences
-
Build awareness of the benefits of being active through sport and physical activity
-
Encourage new participants to transition to sport club/society or regular activity members
This project received funding from the Australian Government through Sport Australia and UniSport would like to acknowledge and thank them for their support.

Student Ambassador Program
The Student Ambassador Program aims to increase the capacity of universities to deliver sport and recreation programs through the training and development of student leaders. In 2022 there are 50 Student Ambassadors taking part in the program, from 24 universities.
The program is designed to provide student ambassadors with the knowledge and experience to deliver sport programs and manage ongoing participation opportunities. Through a series of online and in-person training workshops, the ambassadors have developed a plan on how to deliver high quality, accessible and inclusive programs for their target audience, using their available resources on campus.
