University of Adelaide poised to take the silverware back from their cross-town rivals UniSA

Updated: Jun 14, 2022

The results from Semester 1 of South Australia's Intervarsity competition, the SA Challenge, are in, with University of Adelaide poised to take the silverware back from their cross-town rivals, UniSA.

AU have emerged victorious in 5 out of the 8 sports so far (Ultimate, Lacrosse, Touch, Basketball, Netball 5s), with UniSA picking up 2 wins (Wheelchair Basketball, Volleyball), and Flinders University snagging 1 win (Tennis). Torrens University competed in two competitions - tennis and basketball - but will have more involvement in next semester's sports.

All competitions have been closely fought in a fun yet fiercely competitive environment. The competition doesn't stop here, however, with a full schedule of Semester 2 sports soon to be announced to ensure that SA's student-athletes are in fine form for UniSport Nationals later in the year.
