UniSport Australia (UniSport) is proud to announce Wednesday 28 September as Pride Day at the 2022 UniSport Nationals to be held in Perth, Western Australia from 24-30 September 2022.
Pride Day aims to increase visibility and provide education and awareness to student-athletes, UniSport members, and supporters. It will celebrate the diversity of the university student population, increasing the awareness of the importance of LGBTIQ+ inclusion in sport. Together with our members, UniSport is committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all student-athletes.
UniSport CEO, Mark Sinderberry explains “UniSport is committed to advocating inclusion for our diverse student-athlete population. University sport is a powerful tool to promote inclusion and acceptance. UniSport Nationals Pride Day demonstrates our members’ passion for supporting and embracing inclusion and diversity through sport.”
