Super G

Super G is a speed event where each athlete completes one run down the course with their finish time determining the final order based on ascending time.

9am, 29 August, Long Rossignol Race Course.

Format: One run timed.

Giant slalom

Each athlete completes two runs. It is a technical event with a longer course and fewer gates than the slalom. The number of gates is determined by the vertical drop of the course.

12pm, 26 August, Rossignol Race Course.

Format: Two timed runs combined. Second run - top 15 reversed order followed by rest of field.

Slopestyle

In slopestyle, athletes snowboard down a course including a variety of obstacles including rails, jumps, and other terrain park features. Points are scored for amplitude, originality and quality of tricks.

12pm, 27 August, Merritts Mountain.

Format: 2 run qualification then 6 person finals (TBC).

Boarder cross

In boarder cross, several riders race down a course with jumps, berms and other obstacles constructed out of snow on a downhill course.

9am, 28 August, High Noon Course.

Format: One run qualification then top 16 through to elimination finals.

Rails

Rails come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Athletes perform tricks which are scored based on difficulty, style and execution.

4:30pm, 25 August, Friday Flat Course.

Format: Rail Jam - as many scored runs as possible in the alloted time.
