University World Cups

UniSport has the exclusive responsibility for the selection or determination of qualification processes for the representation of Australia at a FISU University World Cup (UWC). 

 

FISU eligibility regulations apply to University World Cups. Teams participating in these events are required to be representative of one UniSport member university.

2019 Events

University World Cup - Football in Jinjiang, China, 21 November - 1 December 2019.

Australia will be represented at this inaugural edition of the Football UWC by the University of Wollongong (Men's) and The University of Sydney (Women's)​.  The University of Sydney has been drawn in Group A along with teams from China, Brazil and Switzerland.  University of Wollongong will compete against China, Germany and Spain also in Group A.

University World Cup - 3x3 Basketball in Xiamen, China from 31 October to 3 November 2019.

Australia will be represented in the 16 team men's competition by Macquarie University while University of Technology Sydney will compete in the women's competition.

2nd place - University of Vienna (AUT)

3rd place - Islamic Azad University (IRI)

8th place - University of Technology Sydney (AUS)​

Men's Tournament:

1st place - Paulista University (BRA)

2nd place - University of Chile (CHI)

3rd place - Huaqiao University (CHN)
