Welcome Message from the UniSport CEO,
Mark Sinderberry
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to Perth for UniSport Nationals 2026.
Sport and physical activity play an important role in university life. The lessons learned through
competition - teamwork, resilience and striving for excellence - stay with us well beyond university.
They prepare us not only for competition, but for life. I encourage you to make the most of your time
at Nationals, celebrate the wins, embrace the losses and remind yourself why you compete.
Nationals is also an opportunity to connect with students from universities across Australia. This
week, thousands of students will come together through their shared love of sport, representing
their universities and creating unforgettable memories along the way.
We are pleased to bring Nationals to Perth this year and offer students the opportunity to
experience the city alongside the competition. At UniSport, we are committed to making Nationals
the premier student sporting competition in the country, while also creating an experience that
reflects the energy and spirit of university life.
This year we’re thrilled to welcome back UniFest, a mid-week celebration of music, food, and
entertainment, that will bring the entire Nationals community together in one unforgettable night.
We have strategic partners like Tourism Western Australia and Red Bull on board to make UniFest an
unmissable event for everyone. It is free and exclusive to student-athletes at Nationals.
Match of the Day will return to spotlight marquee fixtures each day, giving you the chance to cheer
on your fellow athletes. Mainfreight will help elevate this feature of our matchday calendar, and
thanks to Edith Cowan University Media and Journalism students, we will be streaming these games
live and free on UniSportTV.
I would also like to acknowledge the incredible support we receive from our University Team
Managers (UTMs). Bringing a team to Nationals takes significant organisation, preparation and
commitment, and I’d like to personally thank each and every
one of you for the work that goes into getting your teams here.
It is a huge task, and your contribution is an important part of
making Nationals possible.
On behalf of UniSport Australia, I wish you every success at
Nationals 2026 and encourage you to make the most of the
week ahead. I hope you enjoy the competition, the experience
and the opportunity to be part of the Nationals community in
Perth.
