The University of Sydney (USYD) has defended their status as the leading force in university track and field, once again claiming both the men’s and women’s titles at the 2026 UniSport Nationals Athletics Championships.

Leading from the front across track and field, @sydunisport finished clear on top, with @utssport securing second in both competitions, while @adelaideunisportfitness (women) and @melbunisport (men) rounded out the podium.

Across the championships, 500+ student-athletes delivered a new benchmark for university athletics, with 12 championship records, international qualification pursuits and a rising wave of emerging talent on full display.

Off the track, the standard lifted once again, with world-class broadcast coverage delivered by QUT students showcasing the event to audiences nationwide.
