The New Balance University Basketball League (UBL) will return in August 2026.
The University of Tasmania closed out the 2025 league winning both the men’s and women’s competitions. The 2026 league will see even more teams competing across Australia in home and away fixtures with the top 8 qualifying for the finals series in October. Schedule to be published soon.

For the UWA Maali, game day is about more than basketball. Every home fixture is a chance to bring the university community together through culture, connection and identity.
From themed rounds celebrating Women in Sport, international students, LGBTQIA+ communities, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, to activations, prizes and giveaways, every game day is designed to create an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere.
