readAt the end of the 2018 World University Championship (WUC) year, 213 UniRoos have competed in 21 championships in 20 cities across 17 countries, bringing home 22 medals – their largest haul of medals in a WUC year.
Most recently, Kiana Elliott (Macquarie University) secured a silver (snatch), bronze (clean and jerk) and bronze (overall) in the WUC Weightlifting in Poland. In the same country, the UniRoos Cheerleading team (represented by student-athletes from Monash University) scored silver medals in three categories – Team Pom, Team Hip Hop, and Team Jazz.
The results took the UniRoos medal tally to 22 with six gold, 10 silver and six bronze.
Congratulations to all competitors on their outstanding contribution to the UniRoos’ success in 2018.
