This week, over 120 students came together for the very first UniSport Eastern Region International Student Sports Festival hosted in Sydney!

Representing 8 universities and 16 different countries, students connected through sport, culture and community to celebrate diversity, inclusion and international student leadership 🌟

From social badminton, volleyball and pickleball to a fierce 3x3 basketball competition, the energy was unmatched!

From the classroom to the commentary box 🎥

At this year’s UniSport Nationals, @qutsport students took their skills off campus and onto the sidelines, producing the @guzmanygomez Match of the Day broadcasts live from the Gold Coast ☀️

More than 30 students gained real-world experience in media and broadcasting, learning what it takes to bring live sport to life, from camera switching to managing graphics and providing live commentary.

These work-integrated learning opportunities are helping students build practical skills and pathways into the fast-growing sport and media industries, proving there’s more than one way to make your mark in sport.
