Charles Sturt University (CSU), formed in 1989 by the merger of several regional colleges, spans campuses in Bathurst, Wagga Wagga, Albury-Wodonga and beyond. It serves over 45,000 students, with a strong focus on practical, career-oriented education.
CSU leads in agricultural sciences, veterinary and animal studies, paramedicine and education. Its Graham Centre for Agricultural Innovation and School of Computing have earned national acclaim for applied research with industry partners.
CSU Sport & Fitness facilities include the Regional Fitness & Aquatic Centre with indoor courts and a 25m pool at Bathurst, plus multi-purpose gyms on each campus. More than 25 clubs—such as rugby, rowing and table tennis—compete in CSU League and local competitions.
