University of New England (UNE), founded in 1938 as Australia’s first regional university, has its main campus in Armidale, NSW, nestled among heritage gardens. UNE serves over 19,000 on-campus and online students with a focus on rural and global engagement.

UNE Sport & Recreation operates the Armidale Aquatic Centre and Indoor Sports Centre, featuring a 50m pool, courts for basketball and badminton, and a fully equipped gym. Student clubs, from equestrian to ultimate frisbee, compete regionally and host social sport each semester.
