In 2026, Cross Country will be held in conjunction with the 2026 Australian Cross Country Championships on the 22 – 23 August 2026 and will be contested in both men’s and women’s events, with multi-class events also included in the competition program.

A Mixed Team Relay will also be contested at the Nationals Cross Country Championship. The relay will consist of 2 men and 2 women each running one loop of the course. The order is Male, Female, Male, Female. Athletes will only be able to compete in one team.
