Golfers competing at UniSport Nationals 2026 will have the opportunity to experience one of Perth’s most highly regarded private courses when Gosnells Golf Club hosts the four-day competition from 29 September to 2 October.
Established in 1945, Gosnells Golf Club has earned a reputation as one of Western Australia’s hidden golfing gems. Located in Canning Vale, the course combines beautifully presented fairways, expansive bunkering and fast, true greens with a layout that rewards thoughtful course management and quality shot-making.

The opening hole delivers an immediate taste of the strategic golf that defines Gosnells. At just 280 metres, longer hitters may be tempted to take on the green, but a network of bunkers and rough creates plenty of risk. Others may choose a more conservative route, setting up a short approach into the green. It is an engaging start that encourages players to think carefully before pulling the first club from the bag.
One of the course’s deceptively challenging holes, the fifth often plays downwind from an elevated tee and can appear inviting at first glance. However, clever bunkering, subtle contours and a shallow green place a premium on precision. Players who find the right position off the tee will be rewarded with an excellent scoring opportunity.

The 14th showcases many of the qualities that make Gosnells so highly regarded. Wind conditions can dramatically change the way the hole plays, while the elevated green complex demands confidence and commitment. Finding the putting surface is only half the challenge, with the sloping green capable of producing some fascinating putting contests.
The closing hole provides a memorable finish to the round. Longer players may be tempted to attack, while others will need to carefully plan their route to the green. Water guards the approach and the two-tiered putting surface rewards accuracy, creating a hole where patience can be just as valuable as power. As the clubhouse comes into view beyond the rise, the 18th offers a fitting conclusion to a round at one of Perth’s premier golfing venues.
