GYG Bringing The Energy To UniSport Nationals’ With Match of the Day

UniSport is thrilled to announce a brand-new feature at the 2025 Nationals on the Gold Coast, the GYG Match of the Day (MOTD), where some of the most exciting games from our most popular sports will be broadcast live and free on UniSportTV.

Mexican food favourite Guzman y Gomez (GYG) has signed on as Official Refuelling Partner of UniSport Nationals, and will be bringing their trademark fun, energy, and flavour to the sidelines. Students can expect giveaways, freebies, and a big match-day atmosphere across the week. Plus, GYG will be offering exclusive student specials all week-long during Nationals at their Gold Coast stores, refuelling you after a long day of competition.

Match of the Day will showcase a daily block of top-tier action from different sports, providing student athletes, families, and fans across the country the chance to tune in and watch the best of Nationals.

On the ground at the Gold Coast, GYG will turn these matches into true events, building the vibe and encouraging students to come down, watch live, and celebrate university sport together.

The GYG Match of the Day broadcasts will be brought to life thanks to a dedicated team of QUT Sport volunteers, who will work behind the cameras and on production. This is part of UniSport’s ongoing commitment to Work Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities, providing real-world experience for students that complements their studies through our events and leagues.

By giving students the opportunity to deliver professional-standard live sports coverage, UniSport Nationals is connecting the classroom to the competition field, a key part of our long-term strategy.
