The Curtin Carnabys had an awesome home crowd behind them, but Melbourne brought the firepower to secure a 97–81 victory.

MELB led for 38:26, produced a game-high 16-point scoring run and built its advantage to 25. Leila Davis and Elle Price scored 24 points each, while Edie Fogaty delivered 23 points and 16 rebounds.

Aleka Kabugua led the Carnabys with 22 points, with Ari van Vliet adding 21 in front of the energetic Curtin support.
