The University of New South Wales (UNSW) claimed their first win of the 2025 New Balance University Basketball League (UBL) season in dramatic fashion, defeating Curtin University (Curtin Carnabys) 95–93 at the City of Sydney Basketball Association.

In one of the best games of the season so far, both sides went basket for basket in a thrilling contest, but UNSW held firm in the closing moments to secure a memorable home victory.
