UniRoos Team Announced for the 2026 FISU World University Rowing Championship 

Twelve of Australia’s leading university rowers have been selected to represent the green and gold at the 2026 FISU World University Rowing Championship, with the Australian UniRoos (UniRoos) set to compete against the world’s best student-athletes in London, Canada this August. 

Held from 13-15 August 2026 at Fanshawe Lake, the championship will bring together university rowers from across the globe to contest women’s, men’s and mixed races, providing student-athletes with the opportunity to compete internationally while balancing their academic pursuits. 

Representing universities from across Australia, the selected UniRoos have earned their place through outstanding performances on the national rowing circuit. Their selection reflects not only their athletic ability, but also their commitment to excellence in both sport and higher education. 

For many of the student-athletes, the championship marks a significant milestone in their rowing journey, providing the opportunity to test themselves against some of the world’s leading university crews while proudly representing Australia. 

The Australian team will be led by Head Coach John Bowes along with assistant coaches Jacinta Edmunds and Matt Ryan, who will guide the squad throughout the championship in London, Canada.
