Southern Cross University

Southern Cross University (SCU), established in 1994, has campuses along the NSW and Queensland coasts—Lismore, Gold Coast, Coffs Harbour and Sydney—serving about 17,000 students with a strong regional and environmental focus.

SCU is known for its marine science, environmental management and health programs, with the National Marine Science Centre and the ESCI Institute driving research in coastal sustainability and indigenous health.

SCU Sport & Recreation offers fitness centres, indoor courts and the SCU Aquatic Pool. Clubs in surfing, volleyball, touch football and netball reflect its coastal culture, while intramural competitions and surf carnivals engage students across campuses.
