Where Your Internship Can Take You

Still unsure if UniSport is right for you? Don’t just take our word for it, see what some of our former interns have to say about working with UniSport.

My UniSport internship really created a snowball effect of opportunities. In my first year I attended the FISU Forum in Montpellier, France, where I was able to meet other student leaders from around the world. That experience really motivated me to take on every opportunity I could.

Since then I became President of the Deakin University Sports Studies Club, landed a job as football operations manager through a networking evening I would never have attended previously, did some other volunteer work with the Hawthorn FC, and completed the internship with AUS alongside part-time lifeguarding and full-time study.

It was a lot of hard work and time management, but UniSport Australia really gave me the confidence in my abilities that allowed me to build up the best resume I could before graduating. Now I am working at Cricket Australia as the Digital Commercial Assistant, my dream organisation! I have a lot to thank UniSport for in getting me to this point.

High Performance Intern 2015-2016

Through the internship at Unisport Australia I had the amazing opportunity to meet my now current employers at Red Bull. Through interacting with the partners at the 2016 Australian Unigames in Perth I was asked to interview for a role as Student Brand Manager in Brisbane. This Red Bull role was be my first paid role within my industry of study which I am so passionate about. Since landing this job at Red Bull I have gone on to receive a promotion to Student Brand Manager Mentor and now lead the student marketing team in Queensland.

I was also fortunate enough to land a three month part time contract with UniSport Australia as Digital Brand Coordinator and this role gave me a great insight into digital brand marketing. UniSport also provided me with the amazing opportunity to attend the FISU Volunteers Academy in Russia!
