The following page provides member examples of diversity, equity and inclusion programs related to culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) sport.
| About | Discover & Do is a free program for Curtin University students, funded through SSAF. The program provides introductory courses for two key life skills: swimming and bike riding. This semester is the pilot program. The program’s target audience are Culturally and Linguistically Diverse students, specifically international students. We partnered with accommodation provider, UniLodge, to first publicise to students living on-campus. Both courses sold out, and a second Learn to Swim session was scheduled and filled. We did not promote the program beyond UniLodge residents. LEARN TO SWIM: partnership with Royal Life Saving WA. Participants receive a swimming pack (goggles, 6x swimming and 2x theory sessions (First Aid / CPR and Water Safety). LEARN TO RIDE: West Cycle 4x riding sessions. |
