ECU – ‘Your Story, Your Lead’ program
AboutProgram for young women aims to build self-advocacy skills, make meaningful connections, and develop leadership confidence and capabilities through storytelling. The program targets marginalised and racialised women who play and lead sport.

Status/outcomesProgram is open to ECU students and non-students commencing with 10 individuals going through the program. The second part of this is a partnership mash collaboration with ECU x Gaining Ground WA x West Perth Football Club with women from WPFC selected, some of which are also ECU students and this is on-going. This project is ongoing and will follow the journey and impact of storytelling for the participants.
ECU – Women of Sport graduate mentoring program
AboutThe Women of Sport Student Mentoring Program, delivered in partnership with Edith Cowan University (ECU), SportWest and Metisphere, is a targeted career development opportunity for women, supporting ECU students in taking the first step towards a successful career in the sport and active recreation industry.

Status/outcomesThis program provides an exclusive opportunity for 10 women studying at ECU to gain industry insights, build connections, and develop professional skills through structured mentoring and tailored development activities. It will commence in 2026 with student applicants to be selected end of 2025.
La Trobe – Female only gym access/fitness classes
AboutOffer two female small group training classes per week (Wednesday morning 7:30am & Thursday 6:30pm), both sessions go for 30 mins.

QUT – Girls United in Football
AboutBeginner-friendly, social football for women and girls, with learn-to-play clinics and pathways into coaching/refereeing and QUT/UniSport squads.

RMIT – Women’s only strength training program
AboutWomen’s only strength training program held each semester over both the City and Bundoora campuses. Small group classes, run by a fully qualified and experienced female trainer.

AboutShe Can is all about empowering women and non-binary students at UNSW to get active, try new sports or fitness activities, and thrive in a supportive, fun, and inclusive environment. Each term, there is a mix of weekly sessions, one-off events.

Sydney University Sport & Fitness – Women in Sport program
AboutFour separate programs focused on introducing women to different physical activities. Qualified female instructors led these events over a four-week period, which included reformer Pilates, self-defence, tennis and strength and fitness. The sessions aimed to encourage women’s participation in various sports and promote a healthy lifestyle.
