UniSport Australia (UniSport) with the support of the Western Australian government and on the lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people, will host the 2022 UniSport Nationals from 24 to 30 September 2022.
UniSport is excited to be welcoming over 5000 student-athletes from 39 universities who will participate in the competition. Student-athletes will compete in 26 sports across seven days to determine the overall Champion University for 2022.
UniSport Chief Executive Officer, Mark Sinderberry explains “After the cancellation of university sport during the past three years because of the global pandemic, the 2022 UniSport Nationals completes the full return of sport for university students from across the country.”
The UniSport Nationals is an opportunity for students to not only represent their university but also compete against other students from across the country.
“UniSport Is committed to provide competition opportunities that also connects students to their universities in a meaningful way, aiming to enhance the student experience during their time at university.” Sinderberry said.
This is the first time since 2016 that UniSport Nationals will be held in Perth and would like to thank Tourism Western Australia and the Western Australian government for their continued support after the postponement of the event due to the global pandemic.
We are also proud to partner with the City of Perth, City of Joondalup, and the City of Wanneroo throughout the week. We are also pleased to be partnering with our university members, The University of Western Australia, and Curtin University during the event.
