We pay respects to their Elders, past present and emerging and recognise the important contribution that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders make to the Perth community.

More info coming soon!

On behalf of the Western Australian Government, I look forward to welcoming competitors, officials, supporters and visitors to Perth for the 2022 UniSport Nationals.

The event was last held in our State  in 2016. Back then, it was known as the Australian University Games and held in a different format. The 2022 UniSport Nationals is an exciting revitalised version of the event, supported by the WA Government through Tourism Western Australia and VenuesWest.

University students from around the nation will converge on Perth to be part of UniSport Nationals. These athletes will put their skills to the test across individual and team sports like sailing, futsal, netball and tenpin bowling at a range of Perth sporting venues such as Champion Lakes Regatta Centre and the Gold Netball Centre.

Mass participation events like this one form an important part of Tourism Western Australia’s events strategy because they help attract more out-of-state visitors. The UniSport Nationals are expected to attract about 6,000 interstate visitors as well as millions in visitor spend, which is fantastic news for local businesses and the economy.

Visitors can enjoy our vibrant capital city, where they can choose from a variety of dining options, explore  popular tourism precincts, including Elizabeth Quay set on the Swan River, and check out arts and cultural events. .

I encourage visitors to stay longer and experience  our unique regional areas , including  towering forests and world-class wineries in our South West, the ancient wilderness areas in our North, and fascinating history and heritage to be discovered in the Goldfields.

I wish you all a very enjoyable event and a wonderful stay in Western Australia.
