Melbourne controlled almost the entire contest, leading for 37:18 on the way to an 82–64 victory over the UWA Maali in Perth.

MELB set the tone with a 30–18 opening quarter. The Maali reduced the margin to eight before half-time, but Melbourne remained in control and finished the game with a decisive 19–9 fourth term.

Dihan Wiggett delivered a complete performance with 31 points, 13 rebounds, six assists, two steals and a block. Joshua McNally added 15 points, while Keegan Schrick fought hard for UWA with 26 points and 16 rebounds.
